Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—On Sunday June 3, 2012 Aginah’s Herbal Hair Products, Inc will present a White Couture & Pearls Dinner Hair Show at the Merion Tribute House at 625 Hazelhurst Avenue Merion, PA at 4:00 PM. The event will feature AginahHair models, catering by CAIBS, student honors Awardee Elesha Smith, entertainment, a market with unique vendors and a special presentation All About Hair by Aginah Carter-Shabazz.
The White Couture & Pearls Dinner Hair Show will also feature Model Director, Amber Fortune; Make-Up Artist, Kendall McArthur; Event Planner, Deborah Uqdah; Jazz Vocalist Sieedah Abdellah; Fashion Designer, Gwen Dawan; fashions from A Part Of Me Consignment Store, Authentic Statements and Octavia Miles Boutique.
Aginah’s Herbal Hair Products grew out of an ideal and belief that hair – anyone’s hair - could look alive with body and natural shine. The ideal became a preoccupation as Aginah Carter-Shabazz, a holistic hair health educator, turned to nature and began the painstaking work of unearthing the secrets that would make her idea become real. The process began in her kitchen three decades ago and slowly, over a period of time, moved into a chemist’s lab where she had shampoo, conditioner and hair & skin butter (her garden in a jar) formulated to her specifications.
Unlike so many companies that market hair care products, Aginah’s Herbal Hair Products represents extensive (over 35 years) experience in cosmetology and professional knowledge. Aginah Carter-Shabazz is the recipient of The Madame C.J.Walker Walker Award by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Ms. Carter-Shabazz says, “Your crowning glory is largely attributed to the condition of your hair which, because of its fragile nature and constant exposure to medication, poor diet, menopause, hormone in balance and stress factors, it deserves special care and attention. People are looking for healthy products and hair care products are no exception.”
Ms. Carter-Shabazz has not strayed from the older traditions and has documented tried and true methods for ensuring healthy hair. Clients of 35 years say her name is synonymous with the “back to nature” theme of working from the inside out. Aginah’s motto is in fact, “Working from the Inside Out” building strong, resilient hair by consuming whole foods, pure water, herbal supplements, and Aginah’s Herbal Hair Products (AHHP).
